What a day, terrorism finally reaches the US's shores. Two planes hit the world trade centre, which collapses killing thousands, one crashes on the pentagon and a car bomb to round things off. I watched events unfold all day from the comfort of my armchair and was totally amazed at how long it took the news agencies to figure out that it just might not have been accidental - duh! Watching it unfold I figured there would be some pretty big changes coming as a result of this. Quite exactly what changes; we'll all just have to wait and see. Final thought: I wonder whether there was this much world wide (especially cross-Atlantic) sympathy when the IRA started its terrorist campaign against the UK? I doubt it. Oh, and liverpool played their first match in the UEFA Champions League, and were shit:
