Red Tomax's Guide to City of Heroes

I started playing City of Heroes back in August 2004. At that time the game had not been released the the EU so I, like many other European gamers, downloaded the US version of the game and played on the US servers.

Nearly a year later City of Heroes finally recieved a European release, I didn't join the EU servers straight away because of the friends I had made in-game and at the time doing so would mean starting over completely from scratch, abandoning the characters I'd spent the best part of a year building.

Back when I started playing the best source of information for City of Heroes was a great little site by a community member known as Artphobia, unfortunately once he left the game and passed on the website to new owners the updates slowed until eventually they stopped completely. The guide was last seen at "City of Heroes Online" and, content wise, is pretty much as Artphobia left it as far as I can tell.

CoH on the iPhone?

I've been meaning to share this for a while, but here's an interesting thread from the Official CoH Boards:

City of Heroes - on the iPhone!

Seems pretty straightforward: You only need to install VNC software on your gaming rig, as well as the iPhone, and then remote into your computer.  This should work pretty well with most smart phones that allow you to install VNC.

The playability is pretty low, so you're not going to be running missions or Task Forces, but for checking the markets, playing with costumes, and any other non-combat type stuff, it's a pretty awesome tool.

TNT - Now with badge tracking!

Edit - It's come to our attention that badge tracking is not working :(   We'll try and get a bugfix in quick, but most likely won't be until tomorrow or the weekend.

We're very happy to announce that TNT once again supports tracking your badges!  TNT should ask you to update the next time you run it.  If you want to download it manually, head on over to the download page to check it out!

As always, if there are any issues or requests, pop on over to the Titan Forum and give us a shout!

New Titan Network Tracker released!

03rd August 2008

We've just released a highly experimental version of the Titan Network Tracker that works with the new database.

At the current time only character tracking is enabled!

We wanted to get at least a semi-functional version out ASAP, and then start tacking on all the bells and whistles, similar to how we released the CIT website. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we continue to build our services back up!

As always, if you have any issues or ideas, stop by our forum and let us know!

City Info Tracker - 1 week later!

26th July 2008

We've been anything but idle here at Titan, continuing to add as many features as well as squish any bugs we can find! Here's a quick rundown of the highlights:

- New Character profile pages
- New User profile pages
- Search re-launched!
- A BUNCH of bugfixes.
... and a lot more :D

Best thing about all this? We're not even CLOSE to being done adding back to this site.

Is there a feature missing that you just can't live without any longer? Pop over to the Suggestions section of our forums! Found a killer bug? We have just the place for you to let us know!

We've also added links to our Bug List and Feature Announcements to the CIT homepage, so if you want to keep tabs on our development that's the best place to go! We're adding stuff every day - sometimes twice! - so it's worth checking out. :)
