Yet again, England did it the hard way, only after going a goal down to Mecedonia did they start playing football. Two goals in 8 minutes rescued another desperate situation, yet again victory and three points against poor opposition has gone a long way to masking the tactical failings of our national team coach.
Saw Blackball at Ster Century in Basingstoke - I really enjoyed it - although it wasn't particularly original and the plot was pretty see through at most times it was still an enjoyable hour and a half's entertainment.
On the way back from Basingstoke we saw the aftermath of a car crash - two boy racers in modified cars had hit each other on the roundabout off of junction 9. I'd like to say I gained no joy out of their sorrow, but then if I did I'd be lying :)

Can there be anything more satisfying than seeing Joe 'Boy Racer' Bloggs reverse his car right into a concrete bollard as he tries to impress the ladies? On today's evidence -- No.
Catching up with the lastest football gossip one story jumped out at me: Glenn Hoddle, never the sanest manager in the land, and a complete twat to boot, really has lost it this time -- he has lodged a £5.6 million bid for Santos' midfielder Diego! This smacks of a publicity stunt by the going-nowhere London club, but just incase they are serious, maybe someone should tell them that this kid actaully has talent and would probably prefer a move to a club that will actually win trophies, and £5.6 million is a bit on the cheap side, that's my opinion anyway.

Franklin mint is sueing the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund, yet says no charities will lose out, and they will donate all money they win to charity -- well, what's the point of suing if you're going to give the 'winnings' away
Personally I think the thing on the left looks more like Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward than Princess Di. 1. Why would anyone want that painting of Di? 2. Why can't all websites provide a means to link to specific pages without breakin their 'navigation'? 3. How do these people remember to breathe every now and again? Maybe they don't, maybe they're dead -- just like Di!

BBC Teletext proclaims: "KITTEN IN JAR" WEBSITE BRANDED A HOAX. Well stone the crows, I bet it took some serious investigation to come to that conclusion (see quote of the day 15 June). Are the public really that stupid? ... I wonder.
(From BBC Teletext, page 511, Today)
"A Disturbing website which appears to show animals being cruelly treated is a sick hoax, Newsround can reveal.
Many worried viewers wrote to the programme after logging on to Bonsai Kitten, a website which seems to show photos of young cats in jars.
The RSPCA is appalled by the site and the FBI, Americas most-famous police agency, is trying to shut it down.
American university students are thought to be behind the hoax."
